Analease is very tall for a human, with blonde hair and green eyes. While she will often be the first person to say something stupid or not understand the meaning behind something, she is by no means dumb. She can pick up on subtle information and tell if it's important or not, and can always tell what is and isn't important in the heat of battle, but idioms and turn-of-phrase and large vocabulary words are often lost on her. Analease is usually the first person to charge into combat, thrilled by the idea of a challenging fight or the chance to prove herself against a strong enemy. Analease is terrified of the supernatural, but not skeletons or zombies, just ghosts and specters; things she isn't sure she can harm with her own hands. Analease's ultimate goal is to be strong enough to protect everyone she cares about, always striving to be stronger and stronger, so she will never fail at protecting those she loves again.

Backstory

From Barbarian clan in the mountains, father, the chief, killed in combat, defending tribe. Mother former warrior wounded in her youth, learned blacksmithing to still be useful to the clan. New chief is rival of father. Women need to breed to be useful to clan, with husbands death, new chief demands Analease be paired to him as future husband. Not wanting that life for Analease, the mother takes Analease and flees the clan in the dead of night.

Pair settle in far away farming village, mother accepted for her raw talent in blacksmithing. They slowly settle into a normal civilized life, Analease learning Blacksmithing and fighting from her mother while helping tend animals on a farm. The family makes a modest living repairing and creating farming tools. Farmers from outside of the village soon begin coming to have tools made or mended, as word of mothers skill spreads locally. Word unfortunately eventually spreads to a large gang of bandits, who make plans to kidnap the mother.

Analease, now 16, is her mother's apprentice and getting just as good at smithing. One day, the bandits ride into town and demand they hand over their blacksmith. Analease and her mother are not willing to go quietly, and the village is standing up to defend them. A battle breaks out as farmers take up makeshift weapons against the bandits and Analease and her mother fight along side them. The villagers are outmatched and quickly overwhelmed. In the chaos, the bandits kidnap Analease's mother, leaving the village to burn. After putting out the fires, Analease rallies the village after the bandits and back to their camp. Epic battle happens, Villagers are killed as well as bandits, and Analease confronts the bandit leader to get her mother back. They exchange blows for a while but the fight isn't going well for Analease, until Bandit leader reveals mother fought too much and wouldn't cooperate so they killed her, revealing a mangled and unrecognizable body, which enrages Analease. She enrages for the first time and the tides turn. The bandit leader, surprised a young girl is this powerful, is caught off guard and killed. The rest of the bandits are quickly routed and the day is won.

Mother is burned per clan tradition, the rest of the dead are buried, and Analease takes over blacksmithing for the village. Analease is now convinced to not allow something like this to happen again, and trains a makeshift militia out of the farmers and crafts weapons and armor for them.

Bandit leader survives and plans revenge on Analease and the village for the loss of his legs and destruction of the bandit camp. Attacks, casting scroll of Meteor Swarm on the village and killing many to goad Analease into a trap. It works and Analease chases bandit away from village for miles until being ambushed mercenaries and almost killed. Analease manages to briefly turn the tides, kill two of the mercenaries and the former Bandit leader, before being very badly injured. Head injury, unconcious and left for dead in a coma for two weeks in the wild in the snow, severe hypothermia.

Analease dreams of a spirit bear who leads her from her dream and back to her body. When she wakes up, she is laying between three bears that are sleeping around her to keep her warm. Analease wanders back to her village to find it destroyed by orcs who were drawn to the village by the powerful magic used on it.

The Flynn family was away selling cattle when village was destroyed. They returned to find Analease sifting through the village with few memories of who she was or where she was from. They fed and clothed her and helped fill in what they could about her, before she left.

• Valkar Wildhearth, Chief of Blue Bear clan. Analease knew him as a child, and of him from her mother. Unaware he was trying to make her his bride.
• Breen Flint, former Bandit leader, Analease knows him as the bandit leader that killed her mother and she thinks destroyed her village.
• Karl Ironbrow, rival blacksmith, man who sold out information on Analease's mother to the bandits
